Cheating is one of the major problems in every Esport game including CSGO. If you are playing CSGO, you have probably encountered cheaters and you couldn’t do absolutely anything about it. The Valve itself is trying to fight against cheating but they are not so successful.

Since CSGO became free-to-play, non-prime players have a hard time playing this game because cheaters are absolutely everywhere, you can even find them on DM servers.

The main question is, are there any cheaters on a CSGO professional level too? Yes, there are! A lot of pro players have been accused of cheating and some of them are even caught and banned from the competitive scene.

Cheating in CSGO

The world is changing and new generations look at Esports as a regular Sport. Gaming community from all over the world agree that cheaters are the worst kind of people.

We all know how it feels in the real world. You come back exhausted from work and you just want to escape from the outside world for a few hours to refill your batteries. The best way to do that is to sit and relax while playing your favourite game.

Despite the fact that you are playing only for fun and to relax, you are always trying to win, it is in humans nature to be competitive after all. There is nothing to be ashamed about it.

Losing from time to time is normal, there is always someone better and that is the fact. You can still fight against those better players and if you try hard enough you might even win. If you lose, just admit the other team is better and try harder next time.

But what if you can’t win? What if the enemy always knows where are you, he always shots in the head and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. It is frustrating, people do not like to feel powerless, no matter this is only the game.

There are some toxic people, worst kind of people in the gaming community if you ask me, who are using additional programs only to ruin your gaming experience.

They want to feed their ego and they have absolutely nothing to gain from it, except that they will ruin your day. If you are frustrated like I am, you are probably wondering how to stop cheaters. The answer is simple, there is no way to stop them but there are some ways to avoid them.

How to avoid cheaters in CSGO?

If you are using a non-prime CSGO account we recommend you buy prime status and play against long-term members of the community. Now, that the game is free to play, it is less likely for them to pay 15€ only to cheat and lose an account in just a few weeks.

However, there are some cheaters in prime too but those cheaters are at least trying to hide it so you can sometimes even win. But what if you already have a prime status? Is there anything you can do? The answer is yes, there are some alternatives that may help you avoid cheaters.

FACEIT

You have probably heard about FACEIT. They are organizing some CSGO tournaments and they even had a Major tournament in London last year. It is a platform that allows you to play CSGO on their official servers instead of steam servers.

Normal match-making servers are 64 tick but FACEIT offers a better experience on 128 tick servers. Like on the professional scene, there is a knife round and the winner gets to chose a starting side (CT or T). If the match ends 15-15 you will go into overtime, there is no tie on FACEIT. There are also some Cups and Leagues you can participate in and even win some money.

FACEIT even has its own ELO rating system and you will be placed in a similar rank group for a better experience.

Unlike match-making, you can monitor your ELO on FACEIT. Alongside with Valve Anti Cheat that is implemented in the game, FACEIT has its own any-cheat software.

You need to turn on Anti-Cheat client before you start the game. The software monitors all activities and external programs that take place in and around the game folder. Low budget cheats can’t pass this program and therefore there will be fewer cheaters.

The cost of FACEIT Premium is starting from 3,33€ monthly if you pay for the whole year. If you want only to try it for 1 month, you can choose a monthly plan and pay 6€.

It is a smart price to pay if that means you will avoid cheaters and it will improve your gaming experience. I am personally using FACEIT and there are still some cheaters that manage to avoid their security. I am using the platform for 2 years straight and I have encountered less than 5 cheaters in total. That is not so much and it is better than MM for sure.

ESEA

Another alternative is ESEA. This platform is similar to FACEIT. They also offer 128 tick servers, leagues, cups and ladder system. ESEA has an anti-cheat client that is always turned on and it works like antivirus. The client monitors and detects cheats that may be running on a computer.

The monthly cost is $6,95 for Premium and $14,95 month for Insider. It is cheaper on longer periods.

CEVO

This platform is free of charge. It is not like FACEIT and ESEA. There is no ladder system which results in unbalanced games very often. CEVO offers anti-cheat and 128 tick servers which still makes it better than regular matchmaking. However, I will not recommend it, FACEIT and ESEA are better in every single aspect.

Cheating on CSGO LAN Tournaments

You are probably wondering is cheating on LAN tournaments even possible. Well, yes it is. Pro players can even use Wallhacks with thousands of people watching them. How is this possible?

Well, they use AimLocks as wallhacks. It depends from tournament to tournament, but mostly, professional players can use their own gaming equipment but they can’t use their PCs. They are even allowed to bring their own USB flash drives to install preferred configurations.

This is the biggest problem. If a player wants to cheat, he can easily hide those cheat script codes within the configuration and install it with it. In order for you to understand it, let’s explain different kinds of CSGO cheats first.

What are the most popular cheats in CSGO?

Aimbot AKA Triggerbot

Aimbot is a cheat that is widely spread in CSGO community. The program automatically shots at the opponent as soon as he appears within the field of view. This cheat program can be modified to shot only in the head or to shot only a certain percentage of bullets in the head.

Some players use modifications of this program in order to hide it. There is also a Spinbot mode which allows the player to spin around and shot headshots. Spinbots are easiest to detect and the cheater will get VAC ban within days.

WallHack

Cheaters who use this program can see through walls. They know the exact location of the enemy and they can easily kill you through smokes or penetrable walls. This cheat also allows the player to see everything even if he is flashed. In conclusion, if someone is using WallHack, using Smoke and Flash grenades is not recommended. They will have advantage

Recoil scripts

This software helps the player to control recoil. Mastering recoil control is one of the hardest things to learn in CSGO. Only the most experienced players know how to control recoil and even they can’t control the full spray.

AimLock

This cheat is hard to detect. Even professional players use Aimlocks. The cheat is activated by a certain button on a keyboard or mouse. Once activated, cheat slowly moves the crosshair towards the enemy. It is useful in 1 vs 1 situation for information.

If the crosshair moves to the right you will know the enemy is on your right and vice versa. This cheat is used by professional players on LAN tournament and it is really hard to detect.

How to stop CSGO cheaters

There is a software that is supposed to stop cheaters. This software is called VAC (Valve-anti-cheat). After a player is caught cheating, he receives VAC ban on his steam account. VAC bans are permanent and they can’t be removed. How does it work?

You should know one thing. every cheat leaves a trail. After the system detects a new cheat, VAC is automatically and it looks for trails in previous matches. If anyone used that cheat, he will receive VAC ban on his steam account. This means that VAC works only for old outdated cheats that are already detected.

There are also expensive premium cheats that are still under VAC radar. If a player is using that cheat, VAC can’t detect it so it is basically a defense mechanism against poor cheaters who can’t buy premium cheats. We can conclude that VAC is actually useless, it can only detect old cheats and new ones are made every day.

For example, if VAC somehow detects all the available cheats today, the system will update and all the players that have been using that cheats will get banned. That sounds good, right? However, programmers will make new cheats tomorrow and it will be all for nothing.

Why Does China Cheat In Games So Much Reddit Money

After a new cheat is discovered, what comes next is VAC ban wave. The biggest VAC ban wave so far was in January of 2019. A total of 1,187,113 accounts have been banned for using additional software in CSGO. This VAC ban wave was only one month after the game became free to play. Coincidence?

I think not. Before the game was free to play, monthly VAC bans never reached 200K cap in all games. Now, things are different. There are more than 500K VAC bans each month. You can check all the VAC ban waves here.

Professional CSGO cheat developers

It is hard to find them but I was able to found a thread on Reddit where one CSGO private hacks developer answered anonymously to the questions. You can ask him whatever you want. He even admitted that he made some cheats for professional players. Read more about that here.

Some countries are one step further when it comes to cheating. It is against the law to create cheats in South Korea and China. One programmer in China was facing 15 years sentence behind bars only for creating cheat programs. In South Korea, cheat programmers can do jail time up to 5 years, or they can get up to $43,000 in fines.

Are There any Cheaters on CSGO Professional Level?

There is a lot of talented CSGO players witch are just good. We are talking about the ones like s1mple, NiKo, device, olofmeister, and GeT_Right. You must understand the difference between those players, s1mple and NiKo are naturally talented while device, olof and GeT_Right are trying to outsmart their enemies in every move.

I don’t say they are not talented, but they have a different playstyle that is smarter and that makes them the best. For example, let’s take 2 best AWP players in the whole world, s1mple and device. When you look at s1mple’s gameplay, you can see a lot of impossible frags, most of the time he is top fragging and doing the impossible to win.

On the other side, there is device who has a totally different approach to the game. He holds angles and if he misses the shot he does not re-peak. Instead, he changes position and tries again.

In some matches, device has even more kills than simple, but those kills are not spectacular, there are some but most of them are just normal frags that every pro player shouldn’t miss. No one ever accused those players of cheating, we can see that they have no other information except the ones we all can see.

GeT_RiGhT and Olof both admitted that they cheat. They are using the audience in LAN events as a cheat. In clutch and 1v1 situations, both players tend to aim through walls and if the audience makes a sound they know someone is behind that one and that is totally legal. That is only a trick smart players use to get some advantage.

With that being said, let’s look at some suspicious player.

Well, a lot of Esports analytics disagree with me, but I think there are. As a matter of fact, a few of them even got caught. This part of the article will be full of videos, I just want to make it easier for you so you don’t have to search for every video individually. Let’s start with someone who got caught, forsaken for example.

forsaken

Forsaken is a former professional CSGO player of team OpTic India. A CSGO pro that got banned for cheating. This player used to use AimLock on LAN tournaments. The funny fact is that admin actually caught him turning it on on a LAN tournament.

He even tried to stop the admin from checking the files on his PC which was hilarious. Check the video below and see for yourself. Later on, admin found 3 suspicious files called word.exe.

The organization denied any involvement in this and his nickname became his reality, he is forsaken by everyone. Even if he makes a new account, he is suspended for 5 years from all professional competitive tournaments.

Flusha

Even though flusha never received any kind of ban, he is one of the most suspicious players on the scene. Former Fnatic player and triple major winner denied everything on his Facebook page claiming that he has a different playstyle.

“The only thing I can say about the clips on me is that I have a very different playstyle and I lift my mouse A LOT more than the average pro player.”

A LOT more than an average pro player, yeah sure. Why did he delete that post after? Why would he try to explain anything if he is not guilty? There is a simple answer to those questions. He was using cheats and that is the fact. However, I don’t say that he used it in every single match during his long career but he did use it in some matches for sure.

There are some situations that just can’t be explained. It is OK if you have 1 or 2 suspicious situations, even 10 is possible but flusha had a ton of those inexplainable situations, only God knows how much. Enough of my opinions, look at this video and make your own opinion. Don’t forget that the video before in the section AimLock is also flusha playing.

After watching this video, you will find the answer to the question, “Is flusha a cheater?”. However, all those situations happened long time ago and he is probably not using any additional software currently.

He is a brilliant player but he can’t erase the past and this will hunt him for the rest of his career. But who are we to judge, remember that s1mple also got banned from cheating in CSGO? S1mple is the best CSGO player and he also used additional software a long time ago. We are humans and everyone can make a mistake.

A former player of famous Virtus.pro. If we look at his recent matches we can clearly see that Byali is not using cheats. However, there is some evidence that may prove that he used cheats back in the days when he was starting to play on a pro scene.

Why Does China Cheat In Games So Much Reddit Online

DeadFox

A former player of HellRaisers. There is some evidence of him cheating but I don’t believe so, he was just so bad that they had to bench him. It is literally impossible that he was using something and was the worst player in that team at the same time.

However, it is possible that he used cheats in some matches. For example, here is a match between HellRaisers and team Dignitas. As you can see, we are looking at overtimes and things are not looking good for his team. They are about to lose an important round. He has to connect that shoot through the box.

It is possible that he used some key to activate cheat that will help him aim through the box. The cheat actually aimed at a completely different guy and he shots directly at him through the 20 feet concrete wall witch is clearly impenetrable. This can be only a coincidence but let’s look at that shot.

The current player of OpTic Gaming. This video is from Dan M youtube channel. He is a conspiracy kind of guy and you can actually find a lot of evidence of pro CSGO players cheating on this channel. Make sure to check it out. This concrete video is about k0nfig and his Deagle skills.

I am not a fan of any conspiracy theories but this guy is clearly cheating. Look for yourself.
